Various environmental stresses in the tropics are discussed, and those are related to tropical crop production. Crop responses to environmental stresses, such as drought, strong irradiance, and high temperature, are described, mainly at the organ level. Agricultural adaptations to each stress and mechanisms are explained. This seminar aims to provide a basic understanding of the mechanisms of various environmental stresses in crops and their adaptation, as well as the interpretation of various problems caused by environmental stresses in agriculture.
