In the study of rural development in developing countries, the importance of action research has been increasing. It is a study method in which researchers and target people work together to solve existing issues in a society. The method consists of identification of problems and their factors, planning, acting, and evaluation of the project. This process continues until the identified problems are solved, and practical suggestions generated from the study cycle can be provided to the other areas. In Cambodia, one of the least developed countries in Southeast Asia, traditional rice liquor production faces a problem of low profitability and deficit operations. This seminar will focus on how we have solved the problems through an action research.
