Field surveys, case studies or business surveys contain various types. We have to consider not only the differences of the countries and regions, but also those of study targets, such as farmers, farm corporations, related industries, governments, non-profit organizations, researchers and so on. Today many business activities go across the borders, which make research activities also go abroad, regardless of those purposes and contents. The seminar provides the techniques, preparation and attitudes for field surveys in abroad by showing the actual cases in developed countries (such as Canada, UK, USA) and developing countries (such as Indonesia and Thailand).
